Billy Kay – The Mither Tongue and the Scottish World – Wednesday March 29th 2017
We’re delighted to welcome Billy Kay, award-winning broadcaster and author of ‘Scots: The Mither Tongue‘ and ‘The Scottish World: A Journey Into the Scottish Diaspora’ to Heavens Above.
In this free public event, Billy will speak about key aspects of Scottish culture and identity. Billy’s passion for his subject is well-known, and this promises to be an inspiring, thought-provoking evening.

Secret Garden – The Grand Reopening – Saturday 1st April 2017
Why have one secret door when you can have two? Not content with just having the SMEG fridge door leading up to Heavens Above, we now have a secret entrance into our beautiful new back garden, which will reopen for the warmer months on Saturday 1st April 2017.
With 50 comfortable seats, the garden is an idyllic sun-trap to enjoy a coffee and cake, lunch, afternoon tea or a cool drink.
Watch this space for special events to be held in the Secret Garden throughout the year.
