Andrew Scott, owner and MD of Heaven Scent, is passionate about the industry he’s worked in since he was 13 years old (which is a LONG time ago…). He wants to make a difference, so today he heads off to China to walk the wall and raise funds for Hospitality Industry Trust Scotland.
If you have a spare quid or two he has a mydonate page. All support is hugely appreciated!
Heaven Scent is delighted to be awarded the contract to operate the café in the award-winning Dunfermline Carnegie Library & Galleries, which opens today.
The spectacular £12.4m building links the world’s first Carnegie Library with a new museum, exhibitions, local history reading room and funky children’s library.
The mezzanine café is designed in the same strikingly modern style as the rest of the building, and offers stunning views over the landscaped garden to Dunfermline Abbey and the Heritage Quarter.
Heaven Scent will ensure their new outlet provides the same warm welcome and atmosphere as well as great quality food, drink and multi-allergen-free options for which the brand is renowned.
Open seven days a week, the café offers breakfast, lunch, barista coffee and delicious home baking served by friendly staff.
The new Dunfermline opening adds a third outlet to the charming Heaven Scent coffee shop in Milnathort and the lively restaurant at Knockhill Racing Circuit. Heaven Scent also operates a corporate catering and outside catering service.
Our founder and MD and Andrew is not shy. And it could be said he has the gift of the gab with a pinch of vision and drizzled with confidence. So it should come as no surprise that when he found himself sitting opposite Alastair Darling, he saw an opportunity.
Grabbing his ‘phone, Andrew asked the former MP and Chancellor of the Exchequer if he could record a plea in support of his fundraising efforts for HIT Scotland by walking the Great Wall of China. And he agreed! Andrew then took every chance he could to gain celebrity endorsement, including from DJ Des Clark, actor Grant Stott, chefs Theo Randall and Aldo Zilli, Weathergirl Judith ralston and even National Grand Winner “One for Arthur”.
The video has gone viral with over 5,000 views over the various sites where it has been posted, and the story has even captured the imagination of the national press, being picked up by The Sunday Post!

For the third year in a row, Heaven Scent has been shortlisted for a FreeFrom Eating Award, in the category of “cafés, coffee shops, tea rooms“.
We’ve worked extremely hard to improve both the number and creativity of FreeFrom and multi-allergen free dishes on our menu, so are delighted to have got through the initial stages of these important awards.
The judges are now going to visit us incognito to decide if we make it through to the finals. Wish us luck!
We have a lot of strings to our bow – an artisan coffee shop, Friday Supper Club, private rooms for hire, afternoon teas to name but a few. What better way to describe what we do and how we do it, than a video?! We had the camera-men in over the weekend to capture us, and our customers, in action and we hope you like the results. Many thanks to all who took part!
